Troubleshooting

Where to start when something goes wrong, and how to report it so it can be fixed.

Before you report a problem

  1. Check that you downloaded Kuro from the official website (opens in a new tab).
  2. Search the existing issues (opens in a new tab) someone may have reported it already.
  3. Work out the exact steps that make the problem happen.
  4. Note your Kuro version and your operating system version.

Installation problems

Startup issues

Configuration mistakes

Build errors

If you are building Kuro from source, read the building guidelines (opens in a new tab) that the repository's contribution guide points to first. Skipping them can lead to avoidable build errors.

Known issues

No known issues have been published here yet.

The most current list is the repository's issues page (opens in a new tab).

Reporting a bug

Open an issue on GitHub (opens in a new tab) and include:

  • A short description of what happened and what you expected instead.
  • The steps to reproduce it.
  • Your Kuro version and operating system version.
  • A screenshot or screen recording if it helps. Remove passwords and personal information first.
